ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform TIG welding on various metal components (stainless steel and aluminum) and structures
- Perform Stick welding on various metal components and structures
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including TIG welders, plasma cutters, and hand tools
- Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, grinding, and cutting
- Fabricate and assemble metal parts according to specifications
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure welds meet required standards
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must pass welding test.
- Proven experience as a TIG welder or similar role
- Proficient in TIG welding techniques and processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Familiarity with using measuring tools i.e. calipers
- Ability to lift 50lbs and work in various positions (standing, kneeling, bending)
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot welding issues
- Tolerate Texas weather with extreme heat and extreme cold and work in a wet, dry, dusty, shop environment.
