    Job Description

    Pawnee ISD oversees an Early Learning Academy in Stephenville, TX. Our goal is to prepare children ages 6 weeks to 4 years old for a successful transition to kindergarten. We focus on learning emotional regulation, positive social engagement, and the introduction of early literacy and numeracy to nurture children's curiosity and pursuit of happiness through healthy relationships with self and others.

    We are looking for an Early Childhood Teacher to join our team and provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for our students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching young children, be creative in their approach to lesson planning, and have the ability to develop strong relationships with students and their families. The successful candidate will be expected to plan engaging activities, assess student progress, and provide meaningful, positive feedback to parents.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement lesson plans that are appropriate for the age group of the children.
    • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
    • Monitor and assess student progress.
    • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
    • Communicate with parents regarding their child's progress.
    • Provide guidance to students on social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
    • Create an atmosphere of respect and acceptance for all students.

    Schedule:

    • 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
    • Monday to Friday
    • Holidays/school breaks off (1 wk @ Thanksgiving, 2 wks @ Christmas, 1 wk @ Spring Break)
    • Summers off with pay (June and July)

    License/Certification:

    • CPR Certification (Preferred)
    • Child Development Associate Certification or Associates/Bachelors in child development, family studies, or education-related degree (Preferred)

    Work Location: In person

    Job Types: Full-time, Contract

    Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 40 per week
