              Event Description:
              Visit the W. K. Gordon Museum & Research Center and discover a different view of Thurber while learning more about how to find the hidden women in historical record.

              As men toiled in the mines and brickyard, a vital workforce of women labored in Thurber. They maintained homes, raised children, ran boarding houses, worked in company stores and offices, and created social organizations and activities to make life as bearable and entertaining as possible.
