Stephenville’s famous representative, Moola the cow, excitedly announces Chick-fil-A will be opening its doors for business beginning January 5th, 2023. On January 4th, Las Aguilas, the development group for The Stable, will have a groundbreaking ceremony which will include remarks from Stephenville leadership, Las Aguilas and Chick-fil-A. Owner/operator, Lance Bennett, will honor 100 local residents for their impact in the community and they will receive free Chick-fil-a for a year.
The new restaurant will bring over 100 new jobs to the area along with additional tax revenue to support new infrastructure development without raising taxes for the local residents.
“Stephenville is a place ripe for growth. It is an exciting time here, adding developments like The Stable and well-known restaurants will no doubt encourage future economic growth and development in our community and bring additional jobs and revenue to the area,” said Jeff Sandford, President of the Stephenville Economic Development Authority.
The new restaurant will feature a double drive through lane maximizing space and efficiency for 34 vehicles. Restaurant owner and operator, Lance Bennett, expects traffic to be minimal as the creative design and efficiency of the restaurant during the planning phase was a top priority. Bennett is a Desert Storm veteran and was a C-130 navigator. He has been with Chick-fil-A for the past 30 years, operating stores in Round Rock and Georgetown before moving to Stephenville. His family enjoys horses and is excited to embrace the community and culture in Stephenville.
“This store is state of the art and is geared toward high capacity, particularly in the drive through. We are looking forward to being a part of the fabric of this community,” Bennett said.
This location is the first restaurant in The Stable development to open, with McAlister's and others to follow soon after.
