Tarleton State University’s Symphonic Band presents their first concert of the 2024 fall semester, “A Walk in the Garden,” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, in the auditorium of the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center.
The show, directed by Dr. Gary Westbrook, will feature the premier of “A Jasmine Tree” by Kevin Charoensri. The Thai-American San Diego native now resides in Austin and is studying music composition at the University of Texas. Charoensri began writing music at age 12, and has written works for band, orchestra, choir, chamber music, EDM, big band, jazz combo and film scores.
Admission is $5 for students and $10 for the general public.
