Eric Ewazen’s “Palace of Nine Perfections” is the featured selection in Tarleton State University’s Percussion Ensemble concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, in the auditorium of the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center in Stephenville. Admission is free.
“Palace of Nine Perfections” is based on a 17th-century set of screen printings depicting a Chinese imperial retreat.
The concert will include guest artist Dr. Caleb Pickering from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi performing “Berserker” for solo marimba with percussion quintet, and works from Cuban composer Amadeo Roldan and German-American composer Johanna Beyer.
