The Cowboy Capital MS Trail Ride will be celebrating our 26th MS Trail Ride which is a fund raiser for Multiple Sclerosis and was the first trail ride in the nation to be sanctioned by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society as an official fund raiser.
This is our annual trail ride to help raise funds to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) on May 6th 2023 at the Blue Stem Ranch off FM 1188 near Morgan Mill, TX.
Check in starts at 8am with the Trail Ride out at 9am.
The donations you raise will go toward research for a cure, as well as vital programs for people with MS and their families in our own community.
The Trail Ride includes a Walk and a Run. The 5k Run and 1 mile Walk have check in at 9am and the start is at 9:30am. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the run and walk begin at 9:30 a.m.
This year a raffle has been added to the event and participants do not need to be present to win. One ticket for $10 gives the ticket holder two draws, one chance for the rifle and one chance for the handgun.
Generous local sponsors are providing breakfast, a mid-morning break, and lunch. Stay for the silent and live auctions.
The awards ceremony will recognize multiple categories including the individual participant and the team who raise the most donations to help find a cure for MS.
MS currently affects about 1 million people in the U.S. including many here in our communities. This autoimmune disease has symptoms that range from numbness in the limbs and trouble walking to severe paralysis and loss of vision. The progression, severity, and specific symptoms of MS in an individual cannot be predicted but advances in research and treatment are giving hope to those affected by the disease.
